No matter where you look in Miami, water’s never very far away. From the clear blue waters of Biscayne Bay to the sprawling Atlantic Ocean, it’s water, water everywhere.
But Miami is also home to some of the world’s most stunning pools. With incredible weather year-round and as a mecca for luxury hotels and resorts, there are plenty of options when it comes to lounging poolside.
Whether you’re looking to swim a couple laps or relax in the sun with a cocktail, here are five of Miami’s most incomparable pools…
Head down the Alice in Wonderland-inspired garden path and you’ll emerge next to Delano’s stunning pool. Lie back on a beach chair, a chaise lounge or day bed, or enjoy a more private poolside experience in one of their luxury cabanas, where you can get a spa treatment, watch TV or simply chill out. At night things heat up as the Delano Beach Club transforms into one of Miami’s hottest spots for cocktails.
SLS South Beach — Hyde Beach
With 8,000 square feet of combined indoor-outdoor space, SLS South Beach’s pool area offers a little bit of something for everyone, with plenty of style. There’s the pristine pool and plenty of sun, to be sure, but there’s also cuisine by José Andres, skilled mixologist creating craft cocktails and much more. When the sun sets the party gets started at Hyde Beach, with great music, killer cocktails and dancing well into the night.
W South Beach
The ocean is just a stone’s throw from W South Beach, but it’s poolside where the fun begins. Looking for loads of sun and plenty of fun? Check out WET, W’s main pool — it’s surrounded by palm trees and private cabanas and features a wide range of organic cold-pressed juices and natural cocktails. Looking for something a bit more low-key? The nearby Mini WET pool offers guests a chance to chill in a more serene, secluded environment.
Nautilus South Beach
The pool area at Nautilus South Beach is nothing short of stunning. Featuring an 1,800-plus square-foot heated salt water pool (with underwater sound system) surrounded by a teak deck, day beds and private cabanas, it’s as good a place to work on your tan as it is to sip a cocktail or grab a bite to eat. Need to unwind? Pamper yourself with a spa treatment in one of the poolside cabanas.
Fontainebleau Miami Beach
Of course Miami’s biggest resort would have a killer pool area — in fact, there are 11 pools on the property in total. No matter what poolside experience you’re looking for, it can be found at Fontainebleau: kid-friendly waterscapes, the 21-and-over Arkadia pool, the iconic Bowtie and oasis pools and more. And if you feel like the pool area looks familiar, that’s because it’s James Bond played a legendary game of gin rummy against the bad guy in the movie Goldfinger.
