The authorization ensures that the card is valid and will be released 5 to 10 days after check-out, provided there is no damage, missing inventory, room charges, or excessive cleaning required. Amount held at this property is $200 per night.
Please note that if the owner of the credit card we have on file will not be present at check in, the person checking in at the hotel will need to provide their own credit card. If you need to make arrangements to prepay your stay (either for yourself or for someone else), please contact us immediately and we will forward you a Credit Card Authorization Form as hotels usually require a minimum of 7 days processing time.
What once was the Charles Street Jail is now one of Boston’s must-see luxury hotels, The Liberty Hotel. The storied past is evident from the high vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls, and open walkways that overlook the lobby. The former exercise yard has been transformed into a private courtyard that has become one of Beacon Hill’s most treasured ‘hidden gardens’. Once a place people longed to escape, The Liberty Hotel is now a place people wish they could stay longer.
WHAT WE LOVE
Liberty Hotel lives up to it’s reputation as “the coolest hotel in all of Boston”
Previously the local Jail, 78% of the building is still original
Residing at the base of Beacon Hill, the hotel overlooks the Charles River Basin
Taking the escalator up to the giant lobby is a ‘wow’ experience
The most unique do not disturb sign; it’s a large replica of the Warden’s key
The delicious menu for Clink restaurant changes every week
