Miami Open serves up an ace in South Beach
Sun, heat and the world’s best tennis players — the Miami Open presented by Itau has it all.
A perennial favorite among the players, the Miami Open runs March 23 to April 5 and is truly as close to a Grand Slam event as a tennis fan can get without hitting Wimbledon, Paris, Australia or Flushing Meadows.
This year’s tournament boasts 74 of the top 75 ranked men from the ATP tour as well as each of the top 75 ranked women from the WTA tour. That means on the men’s side spectators can expect to see titans such as Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray and Milos Raonic. On the women’s side, meanwhile, expect the Williams sisters, Eugenie Bouchard, Maria Sharapova, Petra Kvitova and Madison Keys.
Over the course of the two weeks, tennis fans are sure to witness matches that run the gamut: the game’s top seeds putting on a clinic, lower-ranked players scoring incredible upsets, and epic on-court battles that are sure to get your pulse racing. Watching tennis live is an exhilarating experience that television simply can’t capture.
The Miami Open also has prime location in its favor. The Crandon Park facility features 12 pristine courts used throughout the two-week competition including the 13,000+-seat Stadium Court. Recent upgrades to the grounds have improved facilities throughout, making virtually every aspect of the Miami Open a Grand Slam-caliber competition.
But there’s more to Miami than tennis. From the incredible beach life to incomparable dining, dancing and cocktail culture, it’s a place to unwind and enjoy the finer things in life.
Of course, such an experience begins with where you stay. With shuttles running from most of Miami’s best four- and five-star hotels throughout the Miami Open, rest assured that Magellan Luxury Hotels will get you the best rate on your stay — no matter what you’re looking for.
