  • "Very disappointed "
    I haven’t been in a few years and was looking forward to a return. We traveled to Miami from Jupiter Island to escape Hurricane Dorian because Miami was out of the cone of uncertainty. Nevertheless Setai was closed. It barely rained the entire day and winds were minimal. The next day it was open so we decided to have a relaxing late breakfast. Huge mistake. The staff was pleasant and well intentioned and plentiful. We thought we would order something basic because they had just reopened that morning. The restaurant was virtually empty and there were 4 waitstaff but we couldn’t get someone to wait on us. The coffee we ordered was cold, not lukewarm, but cold. Two of us ordered bagels w salmon and cream cheese. We asked if the bagels could be toasted. It was on the menu. On the first try they brought out 2 bagels, not toasted, in a basket. No plates. No cream cheese. No salmon. We tried to explain the problem to 3 different waitstaff with no luck. They took the bagels off the table and returned a few minutes later w them lightly toasted but no cream cheese, no salmon. We tried again. I got my bagel with cream cheese and salmon and the bagel was toasted and warm. Hooray! My guest got the same but the bagel was cold and toasted. This is a 5 star restaurant?!?! My guest said the women’s bathroom was filthy. While we trying to eat, someone thought it would be a good idea to vacuum the rug right next to our table. The lobby was freezing.The concierge was trying to get someone to fix the a/c but no luck. There seemed to be a language problem with whomever she was speaking with. I appreciate that they had been closed the day before but again, this is a five star restaurant. Incredibly the bill was $118. Really?
