This was the second stay at this hotel . . . It is a very nice property, with a good location. The rooms are comfortable -- although sadly they are rather generic in terms of décor especially compared to the historic beauty of the building's exterior.

Pros: Hotel was very nice. Good location and clean rooms. Cons: We were given a room on the 4th floor and we could hear all the street noise, cars, fire truck you name it. It was very difficult to sleep at night.

The service was exceptional We had to ask for a new or clean shower curtain and this was accommodated There were very few dishes in the kitchen and also no kettle ( when I asked for one only on the last day ) they brought one but it actually didnt work. (not a big deal but would recommend having a kettle and toaster in the kitchen rooms) It was wonderful to have a late check out at 2 pm!!! We were very greatful for this accomodation thankyou. The kingsize bed was very comfortable. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable . ( We have stayed at the Mariott hotels and they have very comfortable sofa beds!! You may wish to look in on this bc most people book a room like ours for comfortable beds. I would recommend a shower bar in the shower bc the tub floor is very slippery when wet. /hand rail. Our stay was very very good and we would love to stay at the Benjamin again. Thank you.

The room at The Benjamin was huge, especially for NYC. The staff was really friendly and proactively helpful. Ive never stayed in Midtown East before but it combined the quiet of the neighborhood yet within a short walk of Rockefeller Center and the theater district.
