If you think you want to catch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and other festivities this year, get your hotel booked now. If you’re already thinking about next year, pencil in a note on your calendar to call Magellan Luxury Hotels on November 25th; the hotels with view rooms and suites of the parade route sell out quickly and begin accepting reservations for 2017 the day after Thanksgiving 2016.

Two hotels, Le Parker Meridien and the WestHouse Hotel New York, each a block off the parade route, do not offer rooms or dining options with views of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. However, they are luxury options in the heart of the action, a short walk through Central Park to the balloon inflation area on 77th and only a minute or two from the best parade viewing areas.
Le Parker Meridien
Le Parker Meridien balances historical design features with whimsical touches, creating an atmosphere as stimulating as its bustling Midtown location. Home to two of Manhattan’s favorite eateries, Norma’s and The Burger Joint, Le Parker Meridien has the means to satisfy. In addition to unique décor and culinary variety, guests will enjoy the indoor rooftop pool with amazing views of Central Park.
Extra special: It’s hard to top the pool and its view, but let’s try. This one is for the gentlemen. The lobby of Le Parker Meridien is home to Sharp’s Barber and Shop, offering old school services like straight razor shaves and haircuts in a new world, masculine setting. It offers comfort and the convenience of not having to leave the hotel. A surprise appointment at Sharp’s would make a great gift for the special man in your life.

WestHouse Hotel New York
WestHouse Hotel New York was born from a passion: for Art Deco design, style, fashion, luxury and comfort. The 172 guest rooms and suites (located on floors 19 through 25) will please even the most finicky of WestHouse’s “residents” (their term for guests) with a full range of comforts and tasty treats.
Extra special: The Den is the hotel’s bar, accessible only to hotel residents and their guests. It is old-world slightly Bohemian charm meets crisp modern. It’s intimate and private, making it a perfect retreat from the crowds.
