South Beach Food/Wine Festival

So much food and drink, so little time.

For five days in late February, top chefs, restauranteurs, producers and exhibitors join forces in Miami Beach to present the nation’s most important food and wine event. This year, the festival celebrates its 15th anniversary from February 24th to 28th. With more than 80 events spanning both Miami-Dade and Broward counties, this year’s Festival features returning fan-favorite events as well as plenty of new ones to fit any appetite.

Highlights of this year’s festival include:

• Fireman Derek’s Midnight Breakfast hosted by Sports Illustrated model Chrissy Teigen
• Sweet 15: A Dessert Party hosted by Ace of Cakes’ Duff Goldman at Gianni Versace’s former home, Miami Beach’s The Villa, Casa Casuarina
• Its first kosher dinner at Rok Family Shul – Chabad Downtown Jewish Center
• The launch of Taste Fort Lauderdale Series with Food Network star Robert Irvine, featuring 15 of South Florida’s best chefs at the historic Bonnet House Museum & Gardens

Behind all of the eating and drinking are a whole host of celebrity chefs. SoBeWFF is to foodies what the Oscars are to film fans: an opportunity to meet their favorite culinary personalities. This year superstar hosts include Giada De Laurentiis, Rachael Ray, Guy Fieri, Bobby Flay, Duff Goldman, Valerie Bertinelli and many more.

Among the dozens of events, five take place at Magellan partner hotels:

Fontainebleu Miami Beach: “Wine Spectator’s Best of the Best”: How do you create the ‘best’ event possible? Pair 60 of the nation’s best chefs with 100 wines that are rated 90 points or higher on Wine Spectator’s scale. Proprietors and winemakers from each winery will be pouring, offering an exclusive opportunity to speak directly with the people who know their product intimately. (Friday, Feb. 26th)

SLS South Beach: “Paella and Tapas By the Pool” Host Chef José Andrés creates his signature classic paella while participating chefs present their finest tapas dishes. (Thursday, Feb. 25th)

With so much much happening you’ll hardly have time to sleep, relax by the pool, workout, shop and indulge in the hotel services. Since cloning yourself isn’t practical, perhaps you should plan to extend your stay? We can take care of that for you.
